Official Canadian government record commemorating Private Walter George Ponceby, service number 231409, 10th Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Alberta Regiment), who died 11 November 1917 aged 45. He has no known grave and is commemorated at the Menin Gate (Ypres) Memorial on Panels 24–28–30, and on Page 310 of the First World War Book of Remembrance. His wife Margaret Jeane Ponceby was living at 19 Arlington Apartments, Edmonton, Alberta at the time of his death.
