Record
Passenger Manifest for Domenico Ricciardi, S.S. Providence, 1920
Two-page alien passenger manifest for the S.S. Providence arriving at New York on 12 October 1920, with a candidate entry for Domenico Ricciardi on line 23. The travel anchors match the naturalization records closely enough to preserve this as a proposed source, but the manifest's residence/birthplace and destination readings conflict with the San Giuliano del Sannio/Cleveland pattern and require user review.

Reading notes
Things to be careful about
- The Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island details page indexes this passenger as Domenico Ricciardi, age 28, married, arriving 12 October 1920 at Ellis Island on the Providence from Naples.
- The 1920 declaration of intention and 1927 naturalization petition both give arrival at New York on 13 October 1920 on the Providence. Preserve the 12 October manifest date and the 13 October naturalization date as a discrepancy.
- The manifest's indexed last residence is "S. Giovanni S., Italy" and the continuation page appears to repeat that locality as birthplace. This conflicts with the San Giuliano del Sannio evidence from naturalization and the 1891 birth index.
- The manifest appears to point to Rockford, Illinois, and possibly prior U.S. residence around 1913-1915 in Ohio. These readings need user review against the image before this manifest is treated as Domenico's accepted arrival record.
