- The sovereign line reads best as "Victor Emmanuel III"; the adjacent petition source should be compared if the Roman numeral is reviewed again.
- The folded endorsement shows "No. 20829" and "Filed Apr 4 1903." A handwritten word below the clerk stamp appears to be a granted notation, but the rest of that notation is partly obscured and not used as a standalone fact beyond corroborating the 4 April 1903 date.
