Reading notes

Things to be careful about

  • Manual extraction from NARA TIFF page images and NARA OCR, reviewed on 27 April 2026.
  • The 15 July roster records the surname as "Iscofano"; the 17 July correction has OCR/name variation between "Iscafana" and "Iscofano." The serial number 35066128 supports identity linkage to Arthur J. Iacofano.
  • The correction text is partly handwritten and should not be treated as a final misconduct finding. It records that an earlier AWOL-style entry "should be" corrected to a furlough-to-duty entry two days late with a two-day furlough extension per VOCO.
  • Objects 479608239 and 479608240 preserve the 15 July roster context; objects 479608249-479608251 preserve the four-page 17 July Morning Report context around Arthur's correction.
