Scope

Attempted to locate additional Ponceby and Iaciofano/Iacofano border crossing, immigration, ticket, passenger, arrival, and travel-adjacent naturalization documentation beyond the sources already in the repository.

Methods

  • Ran public web searches for Ponceby, Pownceby, Poncely, Pounceby, Iaciofano, Iacofano, Jaciofano, Yaciofano, Liberato, passenger, border, immigration, ticket, vessel, and related variants.
  • Queried the current NARA Catalog proxy endpoint for exact title variants and known A-number strings where available.
  • Checked duplicate context in 02_sources/INDEX.md before ingesting.
  • Did not modify any 05_raw/ file directly; all preserved PDFs were created through scripts/ingest_record.py.
