Arthur J. Iacofano WWII Request Submission Packet - 29 April 2026
Purpose
This packet turns HIR-20260423-025 into the smallest current submission set
after the public NARA/AAD, Morning Report, Fort Bliss, Muroc/Camp Haan,
replacement, Company H/90th Infantry, Company B/175th Infantry, and General
Orders lanes already produced proposed source records.
No 01_people/ record should be updated from these military records until the
user accepts the relevant proposed sources.
Current Status
Completed public lanes:
- NARA AAD serial-number record for
35066128. - Public NARA Catalog Morning Report and roster/order pages for Fort Bliss, Muroc/Camp Haan, Camp Carson/Company H/90th Infantry, replacement context, and Company B/175th Infantry known September-November 1944 entries.
- Public NARA Army General Orders page for Arthur's Expert Infantryman Badge.
Remaining high-value lanes require requester action, account access, archive staff, membership, payment, family papers, or a St. Louis researcher.
Official Access Check, 29 April 2026
- NARA Selective Service still identifies Arthur's birth cohort as in scope:
WWII non-old-man registrants born
17 February 1897through31 July 1927. NARA states WWII draft cards are on Ancestry collection2238; St. Louis requests use the Selective Service Request Form by email or mail. Mailed fees are listed as$7for SSS Form 1 and$27for SSS Form 102, with the Form 102 fee including the draft card. - NARA OMPF archival requests apply to veterans separated before 1960. NARA asks for service name, service number, branch, birth details, and service dates; for fire-affected records, place of discharge, last unit, and place of entry help. Archival requests may be made online, by mail, or by fax; no veteran/next-of-kin signature is required for archival records.
- NARA Morning Reports dated 1912-1968 are archival and open to the public, but written requests for archival Morning Reports are not accepted. The remaining full continuity pull requires the St. Louis Archival Research Room or an independent researcher. NARA also states Army rosters for 1944-1946 were destroyed.
- NARA auxiliary-record guidance confirms final pay vouchers and SGO hospital admissions as alternate reconstruction sources for fire-affected Army files.
- Cuyahoga County's DD-214 page says a certified replacement can be obtained at no cost if discharge papers were recorded with the County Recorder.
- The 29th Division Association WWII Morning Reports page remains restricted to
current dues-paying members and points nonmembers to
29div@29div.com. - Euclid Public Library still lists remote 24/7 NewsBank Plain Dealer access.
Submit First
1. NARA St. Louis Selective Service Request
Why first: Form 102 is the most likely single record to explain the 14 June 1943 AAD date versus the 28 June 1943 family-narrative date.

5. 29th Division Association Inquiry
Why: the Association page says WWII Morning Reports are a member benefit, and a
public History Hub search snippet now again exposes an Iacofajo | Arthur | J | 35066128 | Pvt Company B/175th style line. Treat this as clue-only until a
source image, Association response, or formal citation is captured.
