Possible relative

Mike Iaciofano

The accepted Concetta Iaciofano NARA naturalization packet records Mike as Concetta's husband, born 7 August 1895 at "Buso, Italy," entering at New York on 30 August 1913, and marrying Concetta in Cleveland on 16 June 1922. The proposed 1944 naturalization certificate card records Mike Iaciofano, age 49, of 1840 Woodlawn Ave, East Cleveland, as naturalized in the U.S. District Court at Cleveland on 7 September 1944. A proposed NARA naturalization packet for Mike Iaciofano records residence at 1849 Woodlawn Ave, East Cleveland, birth on 7 August 1895 at "Buso, Italy," lawful entry at New York on 30 August 1913 as Michelangelo Iaciofalo aboard the SS Kaiser Franz Joseph I, and marriage to Concetta in Cleveland on 16 June 1922. The 1943-1944 Cleveland city-directory entry for "Michl (Concettina)" Iaciofano at 1849 Woodlawn av EC likely describes this same household, pending additional corroborating relationship records.

Why this is not settled yet

1895 –

  • Can the Cleveland marriage record for Mike Iaciofano and Concetta Perrone/Iaciofano on 16 June 1922 be located to verify parents and exact Italian birthplaces?
  • Can Mike's full naturalization file, marriage record, death record, obituary, census entry, or passenger record identify his exact birthplace, parents, and family relationships?

  • Lead created 25 April 2026 from a user-supplied naturalization certificate card JPG.
  • Promoted to canonical person-mike-iaciofano-1895 on 26 April 2026 after user acceptance of source-nara-naturalization-file-for-concetta-iaciofano-1941-1944.
  • The promotion creates a canonical identity and spouse relationship to person-concetta-iaciofano-1898 from Concetta's accepted naturalization packet; Mike's own naturalization packet and certificate card remain proposed.
  • Mike's proposed NARA naturalization file independently gives 7 August 1895 and matching marriage/residence facts, but remains proposed until separate user review.
  • The file types Mike's birth/last residence as "Buso, Italy"; treat Busso, Campobasso, Italy as a possible interpretation only until an Italian civil record or passenger manifest image confirms it.
  • The same file records a New York arrival on 30 August 1913 under the name Michelangelo Iaciofalo on the SS Kaiser Franz Joseph I, certificate of arrival no. 7-139322.
  • Do not extend Mike's parentage, exact modern Italian birthplace, or relationship to the Random Road Arthur/Mary cluster without additional accepted evidence.
