Ponceby with "Jane N" in parentheses at 9715 Logan Ct, and a following entry lists Jane as a nurse at University Hospital residing at the same address. Jane N. may be Donald Edwin Ponceby's wife between Catherine Mackie Horne's 1927 death and the 1957 passenger manifest that lists Helen M. Ponceby.

  • Cleveland Public Library CONTENTdm/API searches on 23 April 2026 for Ponceby, Donald Ponceby, Jane Ponceby, Helen Ponceby, and Dorothy Ponceby returned only the already-ingested 1940 and 1942 Cleveland directory hits; no later Cleveland directory hit was found in that public API search.
  • A 1938-1939 Port Huron street-directory source now places Donald E. Ponceby at 1702 Martin Av, Port Huron, Michigan, before the Cleveland Jane N. trail, but that street listing does not name a spouse.
  • On 25 April 2026, a Cuyahoga Probate marriage-docket search for Ponceby variants found Donald E. Ponceby groom entries with Dorothy Pastis and Helen L. McDonald, but no Jane N. Ponceby marriage entry under Ponceby/Poncely/Pownceby/Pounceby/Ponseby/Ponciby. Jane N. remains unresolved.
