Ponceby, 58, of West Street, Whitehouse, associated 35 years with the automotive retail business, died yesterday in St. Luke's Hospital. Born in Alberta, Canada, Mr. Ponceby resided most of his life in the Whitehouse area. He was a graduate of the Bowling Green State University, where he received a degree in business administration. During the last 25 years Mr. Ponceby was a salesman for Brondes Motor Sales. He was a past president of Riverby Hills Golf Association, and a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity and Phi Alpha Chi, an honorary accounting fraternity. Mr. Ponceby served in the army air force during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; sons, Edward and David, and sister, Mrs. Cathy Johnson. The body had been donated to Medical College of Ohio. There will be no visitation or services. The family requests that any tributes be in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
